Reducing our environmental impact

We are a paperless office: Our charts, faxes and other 'paperwork' are completely electronic and eliminate the need for excessive paper.
· We use cotton towels: Using cotton over paper further reduces our paper use.
· We use a dry vacuum system:
Traditional dental offices employ a wet vacuum system where water is constantly being used to make the vacuum function. Our dry vacuum system does not use any water and therefore creates much less waste.
· We use digital radiography: Digital x-rays expose patients to as little as 20% of x-rays versus conventional radiography. (A full mouth set of twenty radiographs is equivalent to a few hours of being outside in the sun.)
· We use compact fluorescent lighting (CFLs):
This low voltage and very efficient lighting helps reduce our energy consumption.
